00562: Ready...Set.....
Today appears to be a rather auspicious day given all the birthdays happening. Today's the special day of my sister, the ever-alluring and often silly Mina! Happy Birthday Mina! =D

I knew that this was going to be a rather challenging week given the difficulty I experienced on Monday. As early as now it does seem that Monday's events do seem to be a sign of greater stress in the week as talk of several major initiatives on the horizon seem to be coming to a head. I hate it when people start saying problems like these are good ones to have - they don't do anything to reduce my potential sources of stress nor do they make my life any easier. My team is going to be facing a lot of challenges in the weeks and months to come, but I remain confident they'll pull through somehow.

Well, they better. Mwahaha!

New initiatives this big normally mean new opportunities, of course. I've never really been one to put myself forward too much but then for some reason this feels like a good time. I guess after spending all this time with the company, you'd think I'd be comfortable enough taking a few more risks, right? There's more to gain and not too much to lose, so I figure it's a safe enough risk. Then again, when I over think the possibilities like this, I suppose it somewhat defeats the reason why they're called "risks" and all that, right? Oh silly and often overly logical me.

Brian |kitchengod| has been nice enough to take the time and effort to cook food for the past few days in order to ensure we have something to bring to work for lunch. It certainly saves a lot of money, which is always a good thing in my number-crunching head and of course it means that we get to each much better food than the usual fare out there. You just can't understand how great a cook Brian is until you get to try the stuff he creates in the kitchen. Not everything may follow the usual recipes or even have a distinct name that we know of - all I know is that it's always great and often very surprising.

On a side note, it seem all my financial obsessing has had one interesting side-effect. While it's nothing significant or mind-blowing, but I seem to have lost a little bit of weight. Okay, this is what Brian tells me and I think I can trust the love of my life to know my weight situation rather intimately. It's a minor victory and I really ought to get my exercise routine down pat. I haven't worked out ever since I got sick, which of course is really bad. Boo me.

Why am I so tired these days?
