00709: Stay In Weekend
So I made it to work last night. Good job rOckY! You resisted the amazing lure of the Sietch to stay indoors and not go to the office, haha.

I'm really excited that Seth, Tobie's good friend, left his anime collection with us. We initially asked to borrow copies of Gate Keepers for me since all the downloads I've tried thus far either lack subtitles or only have options for other languages like German or Cantonese. It's horribly frustrating since I know that someone out there is bound to want to see the darned series in English, I just can't understand why no one was sharing the feeds. But beyond just lending us Gate Keepers, he lent us his other titles, which is tremendously awesome! This means I can now make copies of the complete Robotech run, Fate / Stay Night and who knows what other goodies he has. Man, the terrabyte drive is really earning its keep these days.

Plus Spiral Zone just finished today. Wahoo! 80's Cartoon collection level up!

So I spent the morning after work showing Tobie just why I love Gate Keepers. Its odd mix of great action and very stupid humor just really gets me, hehe. After this, I should be done with my download of Cooking Master Boy, another series that Tobie needs to see. It's all part of our geeky cultural exchange program, so to speak. I'm almost done reading all the Sandman books and today we're taking time to watch Pitch Black and eventually the other movies in the Chronicles of Riddick.

Today's mapped out to be a rather lazy weekend. After all the activity of the past few weeks, it's nice to finally just settle down and not leave the apartment for a while. In line with that, we had a pretty healthy grocery shopping run today and I think I mapped out at least 6 major meals for the week. On the other hand, Tobie has mapped out at least 3 desserts, so I hope that my stomach doesn't get too excited with the developments. I'm liking how the budget is going with the added factor of actually cooking food instead of eating out so much. I doubt it's doing much benefit for my weight, but it's certainly helping my wallet, haha. Today was a sinigang night and I got it right this time! Didn't forget the sili! LOL

Well, back to the geekery! Let's see how long I stay sober this time!
