0070C: I Woke Up Again And Wrote This
Just wanted to start this entry with the happy announcement that we now have a gas tank. It's taken a while to assemble the diverse components needed for more realistic cooking and over the past few weeks we've acquired (1) the kitchen caddy / rack to put the range on, (2) the actual gas range and now (3) the LPG tank. The actual cooking apparatus is finally complete and now we just need...pots and pans. LOL
So close yet so far. But that can be easily remedied soon enough. Perhaps Tobie will be able to bring some home later.
Nono commented on one of my many cooking-related status updates on Facebook that it seems cooking has become one of my current obsessions, and I suppose it has. It's a good one to have, right? It's like chemistry, but edible! LOL
Work last night was stressful. There was a scheduling mishap before the usual start of my day and I ended up making phone calls pretty urgently just when I was trying to be all relaxed before starting my day. After rushing to pitch hit for a missing trainer, the day took a while before it really started to get better. I hate getting that stressed so early in the day, what more at the start of the week but those are the kicks. At least it wasn't a total loss and there wasn't anything nearly as bad later in the day.
I'm trying to finish Idiocracy now. It's horrible, horrible movie that's stupid, but in a smart way. It's hard to explain and while I won't go as far as recommending it, but it's at least watchable. It just makes your brain hurt. And yet now that I've started it, I have no choice but to try and finish it. Gah!
I have much better stuff to watch, but they're not too worth getting into right now, especially all alone. Beyond me trying to catch up with True Blood, there's all the anime we've acquired from Seth. I now have complete sets of Gate Keepers, Gate Keepers 21, Robotech, Avatar, and Fate / Stay Night. I'm also debating whether or not I want to keep a copy of Rurouni Kenshin a.k.a. Samurai X just yet, but it might be interesting to have. With all this recent downloading activity plus the reorganization of Tobie's movies and videos, I'm quickly burning through the capacity of the terrabyte drive. That's not necessarily a bad thing - we can either start backing stuff up on DVDs or just map out a plan to get another drive. Ah the wonders of cheaper storage.
I should probably go back to sleep now after my initial post-shift nap. The work week has just begun and so I better get cracking.
Talk about unhealthy Starbucks obsessions...
