0076B: Game Until You Drop
First, Happy Birthday to my web-enabled cousin Mica and to my longtime LJ buddy, Arbet |[info]vampire_vlad! Happy Birthday to both of you! Hope you two got to maximize the weekend for celebration possibilities...

I feel asleep before my last turn in the game last night. Boo. Then again, I had totally slept wrong after staying out most of Saturday so I guess it was a naturally consequence. Mind you, this did happen around midnight already, so I think it's safe to say that I did manage to survive long enough for it to be considered decent, hehe.

On the flip side, I'm pretty proud of all that I managed to accomplish for yesterday's game. I totally embraced the Hedge nature of my character and pretty much went wild in terms of how we're dealing with one of the main villains. My plan is pretty crazy and out there but still somehow based on a sick sense of logic and years of reading up on military strategy and tactics. Oh yes, when faced with an overwhelming army asking you to submit or die, the best plan is to try and find a way to get directly to the enemy commander and surrender only to him...but on your terms. The trick is trying to figure out what those terms ought to be in order to preserve our way of life.

The weekly gaming sessions have certain become one of the highlights of my weekend. Sure, I could be thinking of places to enjoy out there, maybe clubs to hit up or fancy restaurants that might make me fell all posh if I ate there, but that's no where near as fun as getting together with smart, geeky friends like Mahar, Adrian and Nabs to hunker around a table, binge on snacks and witty banter while trying to navigate the convoluted plots that Tobie has mapped out for us. Tobie's games are definitely memorable and downright cinematic at some points (if that even makes sense!) and it certainly provides a fun, engaging environment for all of us to explore, enjoy and ultimately just try to survive.

So now I'm awake after a hearty breakfast of fried danggit, nice herb-y scrambled eggs, bread, crackers, the sun dried tomato spread Mahar left for us and some Magnolia Chocolait, all the while re-watching Mel Brooks' History of the World - Part I. I'll probably have to try and get some sleep a little later, but in the meantime I'm just going to enjoy the last moments of my weekend. Oh, and of course Tobie made sure there was ice cream with dark chocolate malt balls, dark chocolate covered raisins, chocolate crispies, barquillos, peanut butter and chocolate syrup.

Yeah, I can crawl back into bed and die now. LOL
